Rupert Kettle has over 24 years of experience teaching beginning through advanced Guitar (including 6-string, 7-string, Slide, & Baritone), Lap Steel Guitar, Resonophonic Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Music Theory techniques applicable to all instruments and is also experienced teaching beginning Piano
He attended Cornish College of the Arts (1990 to 1992), North Seattle Community College (1987 to 1989) and REH Guitar Institute (1982)
and studied with John Stowell, Julian Preister, Denny Goodhew, Randy Halberstadt, Rich Dangel, Jamie Findlay, Jeff Simmons, David Peterson, Bob Rice, Al Turray, Chuck Bennett John Clayton, Howard Roberts, Don Mock, Larry Coryell, Gene Bertinccini, Joe Diorio, Bob Moses, Jiggs Wiggem, Pete Christlieb and Steve Morse in private instruction and/or workshops.
Rupert has been performing publicly for the past 25 years throughout the Puget Sound Region with his own jazz trio, in numerous bands playing Rock, Jazz, Big Band, Country Rock, and Dance music and as a soloist. He also works with theater groups, such as Seattle’s Broadway Bound, as a Musician, Arranger, and Musical Director.
